My sister in law and nieces came up and we spent the entire day Monday making cookies. And I mean the entire day. We made 8 different kinds of cookies and candy. We made a mess, a big mess. Lots of dirty dishes. Lots of flour on the floor - but, boy - did we have fun!!!

And I think these have to be the best cookie ever!!!It was such a fun day!! The smell of fresh made cookies is still in the air!!
And what will we do with such a collection of treats?? Most of them we sent to my brother's workplace for his Christmas luncheon. The rest we split between my sis-in-law and I. We'll take some to my father-in-law's on Christmas Eve. And the rest will quietly be eaten by some little elves in my house!!

I'm drooling. I wonder if my mother-in-law has any cookies stashed in the cupboard...
YUMMMMM! I have done absolutely zero baking this year. Now that it's too late, I'm kind of regretting it. Maybe for New Year's!!
i think 8 kinds of cookies definitely counts as an extravaganza!!! sounds like lots of fun. :)
